COMMIT to spend at least ONE MINUTE with God each day…yes just one minute. That’s how long it takes to read each daily walk segment. JUST ONE MINUTE. You can do that, can’t you?
Read it while drinking your coffee, putting on your shoes, or, if you have a Kindle, iPhone, or other androids, you can download this and set it to be read to you as you drive to work. Yes…JUST ONE MINUTE. Will you commit to doing that? It will help set you on the road to becoming a true…IMPACTWOMAN
DON’T RUSH as you read. Let the Scripture and special message from God sink into your soul.
If you treat the Daily Walk like an exercise that you have to do each day – a duty, you will not get much from it. Spend this time, instead, with a sense of devotion to the God who wants to talk with you, personally, in a life-changing way. You are not seeking information but understanding and wisdom from a God who loves you deeply. Let him have a chance. As he knocks at the door of your soul, let him in. The fellowship and interaction that will happen will be more than you ever expected.
EVALUATE every 7 days. This is a day where you pause and are honest with how you are doing as an IMPACTWOMAN. The key here is that you are progressing, taking small steps that will, in a few months or a year, be massive.
If I encouraged you to walk from San Francisco to Los Angeles, you would balk. That task would be immense. But if I asked you to walk 1 mile a day, you would make it in a year. It’s amazing what you can do in a year if you set your mind to it, taking just small steps. The same is true with the Daily Walk. Read it. Let it enter into your soul. And you will be having a great impact as you work throughout the year.
REMEMBER you are meeting with God. If any great person, like the President, or the Queen, or any great and famous person wanted to meet with you a minute per day, would you turn them down? No! You would be boasting to your friends that this person wants to meet with YOU!
Well, the God of the universe, the one who keeps your heart beating, the one who created the sun, the moon – all that is, WANTS TO MEET WITH YOU! Why would you ever resist? Come on…tell your friends,
“God, the creator of the universe, wants to spend time with me! And I want to spend time with him.”
