The Holy Bible. What a gift it is to us, the Word of the Lord, spiritual words that give us insight to our lives and how we can be fruitful and effective as Christians.
Yet, what a sad thing it is that so many Christians rarely pick up a Bible and read it for themselves. No wonder so many are famished for food that nourishes the soul.
Then too, there are too many Bible study groups that have a teacher who offers insight into the Scriptures. That is good except for one thing – those sitting in the group never or rarely have a chance to offer what they personally see in the Scriptures – insights that come from the Holy Spirit.
In fact, there are too many Christians who do not feel that they can adequately mine the depths of this Holy Book, so they allow others to do it for them.
